Aaron Carter found unresponsive in his California home, dead at 34
Saturday morning November 5th singer and rapper Aaron Carter was found dead in his home in Lancaster, California. At this time the cause of death is until an autopsy is conducted.
What we do know is that a call for help was made around 11AM and when the medics arrived at the scene he was discovered in his bathtub already dead. It is suspected that drugs are involved but nothing has been confirmed. A representative of Aaron said “The family has been notified and will be flying out to Los Angeles. Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father and to make amends with his family.”
Aaron followed in his brother’s footsteps, Nick Carter in Backstreet Boys, and began performing at the age of 9 as a pop singer. His first band “Dead End” put him on the map and eventually he blossomed in a solo career during his teenage years. During the 90s and early 2000s he dated girls like Hilary Duff and was a huge sensation among children and teenagers. People often refer to him as the “Justin Bieber” of his time.
Recent years have been a struggle for the musician as he revealed in September 2019 that he had been battling severe mental illness. He told sources, “The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety and manic depression.”
Drug and alcohol abuse had been an issue for him as well resulting in a DUI back in 2017. Even as recently as Tuesday morning there are reports showing he was carelessly driving a recreational vehicle. Aaron was cleared after officers conducted field sobriety tests, which he passed.
Then two days ago Aaron shared a video of him rapping a song that talks about “I’ll tell my honey I’ll be gone but it’s not for long,” which at this now time is eerie and sad as it ended up being his final post.
Aaron leaves behind his one year old son Prince, who he had with ex-fiance Melanie Martin.
