Actor Jonathan Majors Brings New Evidence in Assault Case

The New York Police Department has informed Newsweek that no arrest has been made for the female who is claiming to have been assaulted by Jonathan Majors, following the actor’s statement of self-defense. An ongoing inquiry is currently in effect.

On March 25, the Creed III star was arrested and charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment, and attempted assault on a female. He has had three hearings since then and the trial will commence on August 3.

On June 20th, Majors had appeared in court, and the following day, he went to the NYPD Chinatown precinct to lodge a complaint against Jabbari. He claimed that on March 25th, the dancer had been inebriated and had become frenzied, slapping and scratching him on a street corner in Chinatown. According to Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, he recently met with the NYPD to present evidence of the event.

“Within hours of viewing the evidence, and conducting their own thorough investigation, the NYPD found probable cause to arrest Grace Jabbari for assaulting Jonathan Majors,” Chaudhry added.

Chaudry was unwavering in their defense of Jabbari’s innocence, even showing appreciation for the NYPD when the Chelsea and Chinatown precincts discovered evidence of potential guilt.

Despite this, Business Insider reports that the Manhattan prosecutors were hesitant to press charges against the actor, and the Chinatown police station issued her with an “incident card,” demanding she report for questioning, though that was soon retracted.
