Addams Family Revamped Series ‘Wednesday’ Comes to Netflix

A new Addams Family series is coming to Netflix called ‘Wednesday’ in a revamp of the family America has loved for years. The Addams Family has been around for 84 years, created in multiple various versions. The most recent comparison is from 1991 sharing Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, and Christina Ricci. This updated version is writer, director, and producer Tim Burton’s latest take on the Macabre Family in a collaboration with Oscar award winner Colleen Atwood.

With the aesthetics first introduced by cartoonist Charles Addams, get ready because the family is back in action. Look forward to Morticia’s vampire chic, fancy pinstripes from Gomez, the vintage style of fashion icon Wednesday Addams, and Pugsley.

The revamp is a live action series meant to be similar to that of an 8 hour movie which Burton directed four of the episodes. This series stars Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley. Christina Ricci (who played a young Wednesday in the 1991 “The Addams Family”) is also joining the cast in an undisclosed role.

Fans of the original are ecstatic to see the creative spin of “Wednesday” set to premiere this Fall.
