Charmaine Blake Star-Studded Oscar Viewing Dinner Was A Success

(March 6th, 2025, Hollywood, CA) The Charmaine Blake Annual Oscar Viewing Dinner & Gifting Suite transformed the Sofitel Hotel Ballroom into a dazzling celebration of cinema this past Sunday, March 2nd. The event was a testament to Hollywood’s enduring glamour, bringing together an impressive constellation of entertainment industry stars.

The turnout was nothing short of spectacular, with the elegant Sofitel providing a sophisticated backdrop for an unforgettable evening. A particularly touching moment came when Vanessa E. Williams presented an honorary award to the legendary film director Melvin Van Peebles, with his son Mario accepting the tribute on his father’s behalf.

The event was hosted by producer Simon Thirlaway who has worked with Jay Leno, Katy Perry, and DJ Khaled.

Amazing piano player Mahesh Balasooriya also graced the event with a special performance. The way he elegantly plays the piano dazzled the audience.

The star-studded affair welcomed an impressive array of talent, including Emmy Award-winning director Timothy Woodward Jr., SAG Award winner Shaun Toub who is best known for Crash, Iron Man, Michael Bay’s Bad Boys, Martin Harris – known for Stranger Things, and Matty Rich – NAACP Independent Spirit Award recipient. Also in attendance:
