“End of the Road” film comes to Netflix starring Queen Latifah and Ludacris
A new action thriller movie called “End of the Road” is coming to Netflix this Fall featuring Grammy Award winning rapper and “Fast and Furious” actor Ludacris and BET Lifetime Achievement Award winning actress, rapper, and singer Queen Latifah. The narrative tells a story about a family on the run when a mysterious murderer is after them.
This is a new collaboration for both Ludacris and Queen Latifah, working together in a film for the first time. Both have had upstanding and ever fruitful careers.
Ludacris, real name Christopher Bridges, got his start as an intern and then a DJ at Atlanta’s Hot 97.5 (now Hot 107.9). Eventually he connected with famous producer and artist Timbaland and blew up as a big time rapper. A few Ludacris’ projects which sent him to the top of the charts are album “Word of Mouf” and songs such as “Pimpin’ All Over the World” to fully establish his mark in the industry. This only grew when earning an acting role as “Tej” on the “Fast and Furious” film series.
Queen Latifah, real name Dana Elaine Owens, has been in multiple films as an actress in both leading and supporting roles, including “Chicago,” “Hairspray,” and “Bringing Down the House”. Because both actors carry weight in the entertainment industry, it will be intriguing to see how their acting styles blend together.
The Netflix film is expected to do very well, with Christopher J. Moore (original script) and David Loughery as writers and female director Millicent Shelton who has also written and directed tv show “30 Rock” and the series “Titans”. “End of the Road” will be available to stream on Netflix starting September 9th.
