Lets get real, as exciting as it is to get married, planning the wedding can be a nightmare. From wedding cake flavors to color schemes to invitees and bridal party to location, there is so much to think about. Although most people hire a wedding planner while its helpful, want your perfect day to come together smoothly is stressful in itself. We want to give you a few tips on how to manage stress and anxiety as the wedding jitters creep in.

  1. Lean on your partner: You two are in this together and are a team. Go on a date and cherish intimate moments. Even carry conversation about the things overwhelming you.
  2. Take care of your health: It is easy to become overworked and neglect your heath, especially when you’re busy handling tasks or juggling work. Take time to go on a walk, meditate, get your body moving in some way every day.
  3. Don’t overthink it: While you’ll be paying attention to details don’t get stuck overthinking everything.
  4. Stop people pleasing: This is your wedding, focus on yourself and your partner.
  5. Journal: Jot down your feelings at least 5 minutes every day. Journaling can be theraputic and relieving to get all your thoughts out on paper.
  6. Pamper Yourself: with a massage or spa treatment. Keep the body relaxed and feeling rejuvenated.
  7. Be Open to Therapy: Seeing a counselor is the best way to express yourself with no reservations or judgment and improve both mental and emotional wellness.
