Keenan Cahill Dies at Age 27 Shortly After Heart Surgery

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the passing of YouTube star Keenan Cahill yesterday. The 27-year-old suffered from Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome, a progressive condition that caused many tissues and organs to enlarge, become inflamed or scarred, and eventually waste away (atrophy). After going through open-heart surgery on December 15th, he was unfortunately still suffering from complications.

Keenan rose to fame in 2010 after his fun videos of him singing along to popular songs made him a hit online. Soon enough, celebrities such as Jimmy Kimmel and Katy Perry noticed him and began collaborating with artists like 50 Cent in the video “Down on Me”. His vibrant personality and positive attitude brought joy to millions of people all around the world who followed him.
