Low Ticket Sales for DaBaby Results in Cancelled Show
News broke that a concert in New Orleans for rapper DaBaby has been cancelled due to low ticket sales. The original show night would have been this Saturday, September 2nd at the Smoothie King Center. While the show was only supposed to be postponed, emails sent out regarding the event said, “Unfortunately, the event organizer has had to cancel your event.”
However, the CEO of DaBaby’s booking agency blames the situation on a ‘breach of contract’ and therefore made the decision to pull the plug, after the promoters did not fulfill the terms of their contract.
The concert’s promoters say they are working on putting together a replacement show on a new date, possibly at a different venue and likely still include DaBaby. One of the promoters, Greg Pulver, released a statement. Pulver issued a statement late Tuesday on behalf of Clear Bizness: “We sincerely apologize that we must postpone the For The Culture Tour stop in New Orleans featuring DaBaby that was set to happen on September 2nd. The public information being released is false and we didn’t authorize anyone to announce the cancellation of this event.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, our intentions and actions have been to work with the Smoothie King Center and artist management to postpone this event. We are in the process of working with all parties involved to announce future dates and times.”
